RIA VERLINDEN

TRAINER, SUPERVISOR, ELDER

Ria Verlinden ( '51 ) is a trainer and supervisor in systemic and ritual work. She has been building her expertise in systemic constellation work since 1990 and works with individuals, teams, organisations and communities in a variety of sectors and places around the world (Eastern and Western Europe, Southern Africa).

Ria gives workshops and training in systemic work in relation to family, career and the broader connections to social issues. She disseminates her knowledge in a variety of ways, including in the Weaving Wisdom course.

Combining a no-nonsense attitude with a big heart, Ria inspires those around her with her great sense of feeling and gets to the essence with respect for the story.

Unique to her approach is the direct influence of ancient wisdom and rituals. Her teacher in Shamanism was Joska Soos, the Hungarian Antwerp native who deeply impressed her and has a place of honour in the MAS.

Traditional healers in South Africa provided deepening and broadening in the 25 years she worked and developed herself there. In Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town, she met powerful teachers: Stan Lifschits, Mama Hilda, Mama Noluthando, Nomathongo Avumile, Sithem Biso, Zindi and others.

Honouring the natural elements and developing awareness around ancestors and predecessors is dear to her. Both in personal development and in connecting with previous generations and collective consciousness.

As an Elder, she is associated with Corporate Rituals. On 1 February, her fellow coaches paid tribute to her in the form of a Kasàlà.
