Wisdom encompasses moving from great interactions to meaningful connections. This may prove particularly challenging for men, as we mostly take pride in reason-based outcomes. When leading teams or working in teams, the first thing we bring in, consciously or not, are the patterns of (dis)connection we experienced in our primary family system. Based on that we negotiate effective interactions for our intended outputs.
Mainly as manly talking heads.
In this one-day workshop we want to explore the space from interaction to connection. We will not only talk, but also using our bodies and physical movement to explore and feel how we connect with oneself, within the team we work in and within the system our team lives in. The intention is not to sacrifice effectiveness, but to add more meaning to it. To deepen the quality of the quantity. To see not only what we can move individually, but also what moves us as a collective.
Wijsheid houdt in dat we evolueren van opmerkelijke interacties naar betekenisvolle connecties. Dit kan vooral voor mannen een uitdaging zijn, aangezien we vaak trots zijn op onze rationele doelgerichtheid. Bij het leiden van-, en werken met teams, brengen we vooral - bewust of onbewust - de patronen binnen van (dis)connectie die we hebben ervaren in ons oorspronkelijke familiesysteem. Op basis daarvan onderhandelen we effectief om onze doelen te bereiken, vaak als ‘pratende hoofden’. In deze eendaagse workshop willen we de ruimte tussen interactie en verbinding verkennen.
We gaan niet alleen maar praten, maar we zullen ook met ons lichaam en door fysieke beweging verkennen hoe we verbinding maken met onszelf, hoe we verbinden binnen het team waarin we werken, en met het systeem waarin ons team functioneert en leeft. Het doel is niet om minder effectief te zijn, maar om meer betekenis toe te voegen aan onze doelgerichtheid. We willen de kwaliteit van de kwantiteit verdiepen. We willen niet enkel zien wat we individueel in beweging brengen, maar ook wat ons collectief beweegt.

Cosmin Alexandru is a consultant in leadership team development and a team coach. He was co-founder and CEO of GfK Romania and Chair of the Board of OMV Group in Vienna. In academic experience he is adjunct Lecturer in the Executive MBA program of Maastricht Management School and Co-founder of The Entrepreneur Academy. As coach and lecturer he has a focus on leadership styles, building trust, aligning on vision, mission, values and strategy, understanding multi-cultural approaches to team effectiveness and organizational transformation (read more about Cosmin)
Junior Mthombeni, the versatile theater maker and musician, led the striking SINcollectief between 2010 and 2016 and has been an artistic face at KVS since 2016. As a co-founder of Jr.cE.sA.r, he created successful performances such as ‘Malcolm X’ and ‘Drarrie in de Nacht’. Mthombeni is known for his contemporary music theater with influences from various cultures. From his impressive CV, productions such as ‘Dear Winnie’ (2020) and ‘Vaderlandloos’ (2021- 2022) stand out, both praised for their personal and dynamic approach.
